Garena Online Private Limited and Kadokawa Corporation have announced the production of an anime adaptation of Garena Free Fire. According to a press release by Kadokawa, the anime adaptation is scheduled to be produced by a Japanese anime production studio with KADOKAWA QINGYU — KADOKAWA’s overseas branch — as its production manager. The completed animation will be broadcast and streamed worldwide.
With over 100 million as its peak Daily Active Users (DAU) as of February 2024, according to data.ai, Garena Free Fire certainly has a massive fanbase eagerly excited for its anime adaptation. With over 150,000 active users in the Philippines, Filipino gamers will happily watch it when it finally airs.
