This month, the Esports World Cup Foundation and leading smartphone brand Honor announced a one-of-a-kind partnership for the year’s largest gaming festival in Saudi Arabia called the Esports World Cup (EWC). With this move, the upcoming Honor 200 Pro smartphone has been designated as the official smartphone of the EWC, offering what is said to be “cutting-edge technology to power esports competitions” in games such as Honor of Kings, Free Fire, and Women’s ML:BB.
The Honor 200 Pro is a new premium smartphone that’s built not just for esports athletes but for casual players alike. Some of its highlight features include a high-speed 3GHz CPU with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, a beefy 5200mAh Silicon-Carbon battery that should last up to 60+ hours of continuous use, and advanced cooling through a larger built-in vapor chamber.

The EWC 2024 began on July 3rd in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and features 22 game championships for a share of over $60 million in prizes – said to be te largest in esports history. The event will last for a total of eight weeks, or up to August 24th, with various other events including pop culture celebrations, international experiences, and community tournaments.
Meanwhile, the Honor 200 Pro smartphone is set to be officially announced and subsequently released in the Philippines and other regional markets in the next few weeks.
