Wuthering Waves has just been updated to ver 1.1. The update brings massive changes to the world including new Resonators, bosses, and Story events. The update will come with a 9.4 GB download.
Among the new Resonators are the Jinhsi and Changli. Both 5-star characters are available for the Thawborne Renewal and Vermillion’s Ploy banners, respectively. Currently, the Thawborne Renewal is running.
One of the biggest changes brought about by the latest updates is the introduction of the Tuner Synthesis. This allows players to synthesize low-grade Tuners into higher-grade Tuners using the Synthesizer. Various balance changes such as lowering the Union Level requirements of some Main Quests, controller enhancements, and an expanded range for the Lootmapper.
Players will be able to explore Mt. Firmament upon completing the Main Quest Chapter 1 Interlude “A New Companion”. Located in the southeastern sea of Jinzhou, the area comes with a new Clang Bang Echo Challenge. This requires you to solve a few ice block puzzles by transforming into a Clang Bang.
How’s Wuthering Waves 1.1 now?
If you were hesitant on the game because of the news of its launch, worry no more! When we last discussed Wuthering Waves during its rather shaky launch, our opinion was rather lukewarm. After a few months with the game, we found ourselves better appreciating the world of Solaris-3, the character designs, and the action combat. For 1.1, we can safely say that the stability and optimization has greatly improved. In the SEA server, we were hitting 200 ms before, now we are at a stable 60-80 ms of ping. During larger areas, we have encountered less stuttering and input lag during combat. All of these improvements have greatly improved our opinion of the game from a gameplay standpoint. And we can expect better things from the game as more updates arrive!
