The Anbernic RG35XXSP is now available in the Philippines. An upgrade to the Anbernic RG35XX with the design of the Game Boy Advance SP. Is the new model worth it for those who want to play more than GBA games? And more importantly, where can you buy it in the Philippines?

The handheld comes with 64GB internal storage with an option to add on 128GB microSD cards. It’s recommended to get a microSD card as it increases the amount of games you can play reliably. It would cost PHP 535.00 for a 128GB Sandisk Ultra MicroSDXC from DataBlitz.

Is the upgrade worth it?

Whatever the regular Anbernic RG35XX, the Anbernic RG35XXSP can do too as it’s very similar in terms of internals. The games played can be up to the PSP generation. One major thing you should keep in mind is the lack of a touch screen. If you plan on playing a DS game that’s heavy on the touch screen and you don’t want to use the alternatives to touch-screen function, this might not be for you.
