Platform-fighter MultiVersus has released its official launch trailer ahead of its May 28, 2024 release date. Fans of Adventure Time, Scooby-Doo, Looney Toons, DC Comics, and a variety of Warner Bros. Discovery properties can finally have those characters fight it out in colorful and creative ways representative to the characters. The game will release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S platforms and will be Free-To-Play (with the in-game currency Gleamium), come with Cross-Play functionality, and host the MultiVersus Battle Pass.
Developed by Player First Games and published by Warner Bros. Games, Multiversus was first announced in November 2021. The game launched in open beta from June 2022-2023, amassing over 20 million players. Fortunately, according to the official FAQs, “All content earned or purchased before June 25, 2023, including unused Gleamium, Battle Pass tokens, character tickets, and any other in-game cosmetics, will carry over when MultiVersus launches on May 28, 2024.”
