During Take-Two Interactive’s Q4 2024 Fiscal Report, the company has set the hotly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6’s release date to Fall 2025. Previously, the release date was set to a general 2025 window. Fall 2025 would be between September 21 – December 22, 2025. The game is currently announced for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles.
“Our outlook reflects a narrowing of Rockstar Games’ previously established window of Calendar 2025 to Fall of Calendar 2025 for Grand Theft Auto VI. We are highly confident that Rockstar Games will deliver an unparalleled entertainment experience, and our expectations for the commercial impact of the title continue to increase.”

Grand Theft Auto 6 was revealed last December 5, 2023 with it’s YouTube trailer of Rockstar’s own page reaching a 190+ Million views as of May 2025. The game features a criminal duo, Lucia and a currently unnamed male partner as playable characters, set in the fictional city of Leonida – based on Florida.
