Kuro Game’s has revealed the release date of Wuthering Waves 2.1: “Waves Sing, and the Cerulean Bird Calls,”, on February 13, 2025. Two new 5-star resonators, Pheobe and Brant, a rerun of Changli, and a new area and story to uncover. The new ‘After the Overture‘ trailer also teases new characters and gameplay features.
Phoebe’s banner will be the only 5-star Resonator for the first phase of the update. As a Spectro element, Rectifier user, Phoebe uses mirror-like reflections to attack using her 5-star weapon: Luminous Hymn.
Brant’s banner will arrive in the second half on March 6, 2025. A Fusion element, sword-weilder, his agile and dynamic style fits his personality and 5-star signature weapon: Unflickering Valor. Alongside Brant’s banner, a rerun of Changli will occur, allowing players to roll for her and her signature weapon if they hadn’t gotten her yet.
New areas to explore include Rinascita’s largest fishing grounds, the Riccioli Islands, where a new fishing minigame will be available. Players will also have the chance to explore the Averardo Vault, a place where rare echoes, treasures, a new, secret areas are waiting to be discovered.
A number of quality of life upgrades will be implemented in Wuthering Waves 2.1. Players will now be able to save and use echo presets with auto equip feature for echoes which determines the most frequently used echoes. The in-game camera feature will be receiving upgrades, including the addition of various filters, along with options for horizontal and vertical camera movement. Idle poses for the characters. Finally, full ray tracing will be added to the game, enhancing its look on PC with certain NVIDIA GeForce RTXT 40 series graphics cards.
Wuthering Waves will also be available on Mac App Store starting March 27, 2025.
