A new entry in Gust’s long-running Atelier franchise, Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land, has just been announced for early 2025. The game will launch for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC via Steam and, in a first for the franchise, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One.
An alchemy-themed JRPG around the concept of “memory,” Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & The Envisioned Land puts you in the role of new protagonist Yumia as she confronts her past in this beautiful fantasy adventure. The game is the first mainline entry in the franchise since 2023’s Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key.
Developer Gust’s Atelier RPG franchise has been running since 1997. The franchise focuses on the daily adventures of various Alchemist’s as they do their best to explore vast lands, create new items, and battle through endless hordes of Puni’s on their way to Alchemy mastery. With the focus on lighthearted, slice-of-life fun, the franchise has settled into a comfortable niche with a dedicated fanbase. Since the runaway success of 2019’s Atelier Ryza, the series has been seeing a huge boom in popularity. With a mainline game appearing in Xbox platforms for the first time, newcomers will be able to experience the wonders of an Atelier game. If you love crafting systems, easygoing RPG’s, and cute characters, the Atelier franchise is for you!
