Anbernic has officially unveiled the RG35XXSP, a new model in their line of retro handhelds. The device has similar specs from their latest model, the RG35XX, this time taking the clamshell design of the Game Boy Advance SP and will be available in silver/grey/black transparent/blue transparent. The model will be able to play game from over 30 different platforms such as the PS1 and Dreamcast (the lack of a joystick may impede play), equipped with a 5GWIFI module and supports Moonlight streaming, and supports Bluetooth 4.2 for its wireless controller. It is currently unknown when this device will be released, but the price is expected to be around the RG35XX, which is at USD 56 or PHP 3,200.
As our first handheld console was a GBA SP, we’re already excited to see if Anbernic can nail the form factor that was such a huge deal back in the day. What are your thoughts on the RG35XXSP? Let us know in the comments below!
